Taking an oil sample must be done with the correct means, protocol and respect of the local safety rules. Incorrect or failure to strictly follow the correct oil sampling methods will result in a false laboratory analysis, i.e. sample error. Oil sampling is an important link and is indispensable for an effective preventive maintenance strategy. One of the pillars of preventive maintenance is monitoring the required oil cleanliness.
